That's the main thing many students fail to understand when doing their ads. When they present their ideas (which often thought of 'big' in their minds), they just think of telling the fact in a visual way, which usually leads to a 'so what' (if not an unclear message), and their common reaction is that the ideas get 'banned' (in their words). I wouldn't use 'banned' but most of the time I see 'boring' ideas that are so straight forward without a 'surprise', that's killing me!
